Before our last home game with Brechin, Robert Ward (pictured) put pen to paper. A striker, he is only 16 and hails from Insch in Aberdeenshire. He is still at school and was spotted whilst playing for Lewis United.

Highly-rated, he has made rapid progress, having figured from the bench in the in the last two Development fixtures. He was also a member of the United U16/17 side that recently defeated Manchester United in the final of the Oakham Tournament.

Development Squad Coach Steve Leahy said: “He is still at school and a real attacking talent. He has great attitude and reminds me of Johnny Russell in terms of his style and endeavour."
